Juvéderm® is a group of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Each formulation of Juvéderm® varies in terms of consistency and thickness to plump lips, smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, and bring lost volume back to the face or hands. Each Juvéderm® product is best applied to different problem areas.

How Are Juvéderm® Injections Performed?
Juvéderm® treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure performed in our clinical office by a Juvéderm® specialist. During the procedure, the Juvéderm® filler is injected with a micro needle strategically just above the underlying muscle. Several Juvéderm® injections will be required, either in a traditional sense or as a thread technique slightly below the surface of the skin.
Your Juvéderm® appointment will be very quick and can be completed over a lunch break. Afterward, you can resume your normal activities, although some temporary redness and tenderness at the injection sites is common and typically fades quickly.
What Are the Different Types of Juvéderm® in New York?
There are several Juvéderm® products available at Dr. Dennis Gross Dermatology. Each formulation is used for different goals and treatment areas. The Juvéderm® family of products includes the following:
Juvéderm® Vollure®: Juvéderm® Vollure® is much more lightweight alternative to Juvéderm® Voluma®, and it's much more robust than Juvéderm® Volbella (we’ll have more on that next). For patients looking to smooth out any wrinkles, fine lines and folds, Juvéderm® Vollure® can provide great results, and it can last for as long as 12 to 18 months.
Juvéderm® Volbella®: Juvéderm® Volbella® is one of the newer lip filler products on the market. Featuring the lowest concentration of hyaluronic acid, along with the lowest water affinity, Juvéderm® Volbella® is able to produce results that can last much longer than other alternatives and with a much less dramatic lip plumping too. Juvéderm® Ultra®: Offering greater elasticity than Juvéderm® Volbella®, Juvaderm® Ultra® is great for patients looking for plumper, softer lips. It can also create a much greater horizontal spread rather than a lift.
Juvéderm® Ultra® Plus: Juvéderm® Ultra® Plus is essentially a thicker version of Juvéderm® Ultra® and it's most commonly used to treat more severe lines, wrinkles, and folds, such as marionette lines and nasolabial folds. Hand rejuvenation can also be performed with Juvéderm® Ultra® Plus.
