For the first time ever, I’m offering a body contouring device at my practice – the UltraShape® V3. Before it was FDA-approved, I went to Canada to personally witness this new method of fat reduction. It was unlike the painful, invasive, and costly options of the past. It was painless, required NO downtime, and sheds 2-3 inches in circumference, leaving you with smooth, even results.
UltraShape® has the unique ability to remove pockets of fat, contour, and sculpt the body. This body-shaping technique uses targeted pulses of focused ultrasound energy to shake fat cells to the point of breaking apart. The disintegrated fat cells then pass through the liver. So your body processes it just like you ate a fatty meal, and it’s excreted naturally. We recommend a series of 3 treatments 2 weeks apart. Visible results can be seen as soon as 2 weeks after your first treatment.
How does it compare to the rest?
In my opinion, liposuction is ideal for someone with a more significant amount of weight to lose. It’s costly, and, in my experience, many of my patients don’t want to undergo the anesthesia, pain, or weeks of downtime. Others have come to me post-lipo to smooth and even out the bulges of fat left behind.
CoolSculpt is a non-invasive treatment that freezes fat cells in order to eliminate them. Whereas UltraShape® uses ultrasound technology like that used for pregnancy sonograms, CoolSculpt clamps your fat within the hand piece of the device, which, in my opinion, makes it difficult to access hard-to-reach areas. Based on the feedback I’ve received from my patients, this technique can be painful, uncomfortable, and cannot be used on all parts of the body.
LipoSonix, SmartLipo, Slim-lipo, Vaser, and TruSculpt are other options that are, in my opinion, invasive, very painful, expensive, or require downtime.
At the end of the day, I feel UltraShape® is the best of the best. It will conform to your problem areas painlessly without trying to clamp or freeze them. It’s painless and you can get right back into your daily routine. It’s the best I’ve ever seen.
